The
"X" Knot
We're not sure who tied it first, but we came across it on the
Location X shoot last year.
Our
X guide showed us this foolproof knot, that was not only
surprisingly
easy to tie, but is one of the simplest and most innovative
knots
ever
for attaching class to shock.
Again and Again!
Note: The knot has been tied twice (once with mono and once
with fly
line and backing).
The beauty of this knot is that
the angler can back the knot out and
put on new shock tippet (after chaffing from fights etc.),
without having to re-tie the Bimini Twist... And the knot will
still not fail.
